Computer Facilities

The department has modern computing facilities. The Commerce Faculty has computer labs (level 0) for its undergraduate students, while the Economics Department has its own lab on the 5th floor comprising of 13 Pentium computers. We use and teach with the latest versions of several econometric packages together with access to New Zealand databases.

Email is used extensively within the department and internet access is available. All postgraduate students are expected to gain basic familiarity with Email.

Location of Labs

Commerce Undergraduate Labs, Level 0: these five labs are heavily used for formal tutorials and class assignments.

Postgraduate Lab, Room 537, 5th floor for the use of Economics postgraduate students only.
