A Major in Economics

For a "major" in economics, in addition to satisfying the general Faculty degree requirements, a student must pass ECON 201 and either ECON 204, ECON 230 or ECON 231 and at least 56 points of ECON courses at the 300 level.

Double Degrees

Students may enrol in any two degrees concurrently and cross-credit courses in common up to a maximum of 120 points (not including 300 level courses).

A student who is (or has been) enrolled for two degress which have courses in common may cross-credit a maximum of 120 points between degrees (excluding Stage 3 courses).

Special provisions have been made, however, in the case of the LL.B. and B.Com. degrees which, by careful planning, allow an effective maximum of 60 (old points - the regulations have not been finalised yet) points (or their equivalent) between these two degrees, and make possible the completion of both degrees within the five years available for bursary assistance.

Other Double degree combinations include B.Com/B.A.; B.Com/B.E.; B.Com/ Bachelor of Forestry Science.
