Best Paper awarded at world research conference
Congratulations to PhD student Maryam Ishaq on receiving an award for best paper at the World Business and Economics Research Conference held 24-25 February 2014, in Auckland.
Maryam co-authored the paper titled "Exchange Rate Policy Dissension in East Asia an Impediment in The Way of Regional Economic Cooperation", with Mohammad Atiq Ul Rehman from the University of Canterbury.
The conference involved Masters and PhD students, and senior faculty members from universities representing 20 countries. Papers were presented in four sessions: economics, finance, accounting and management. Maryam's paper was awarded best in the economics session.
Australasian Teaching Economics Conference (ATEC)
The School of Economics and Finance hosted the 19th Annual Australasian Teaching Economics Conference, on 7&8 July 2014 at the University of Canterbury.
Papers were presented on a variety of topics covering economics education, financial literacy education, and teaching practice.
